Privacy Architecture & Terms of Service
An honest, transparent explanation of how our technical system handles your data, what we store, and our legal boundaries.
Privacy Architecture & Data Handling
Technically justified disclosures. No misleading claims of "absolute untraceability."
We do not make false claims such as "We can never know who you are" or "We collect absolutely nothing." Any connection across the public Internet inherently involves network routing packets handled by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
What we do guarantee is that our application layer requires no user account, no name, no email address, and no password. Questions in our database are associated only with a salted cryptographic hash of a randomly generated secret code.
1. What Information We Do NOT Collect
By architecture and design, our application does not ask for or collect:
- ❌ Real Names
- ❌ Email Addresses
- ❌ Phone Numbers
- ❌ Passwords & Logins
- ❌ Physical Addresses
- ❌ Social Media Profiles
- ❌ Cross-Site Trackers
- ❌ Advertising IDs
2. What Information Is Actually Stored & Processed
Question Text & Category: The text you submit and the optional category you choose are saved in the server storage.
Salted Secret Code Hash: A cryptographically unguessable secret code (e.g. ask-w7r2-9k4m-xp8c) with over 60 bits of entropy is provided to you once. The database stores only a salted SHA-256 hash of this code. The plaintext code is never stored on our server.
Privacy-Preserving Rate-Limiting: To safeguard the platform against automated brute-force attacks and abuse, lookup and submission frequencies are rate-limited using a one-way salted hash of client network addresses. Plaintext IP addresses are never saved in rate-limiting logs.
Search Engine Exclusion: All question and answer routes serve X-Robots-Tag: noindex, nofollow, noarchive headers and our robots.txt actively instructs search engine web crawlers not to index questions or codes.
3. Data Retention & Right to Be Forgotten
Automatic Expiration: Questions are not retained indefinitely. Unanswered questions automatically expire and are purged after 90 days. Answered questions automatically expire and are purged after 180 days.
Instant Permanent Erasure: Whenever you check your answer using your secret code, you can click "Delete Question & Answer" to trigger immediate, permanent erasure of the question, answer, and secret code hash from our server storage.

If you or someone you know is in immediate life-threatening danger, experiencing an acute mental health crisis, or facing domestic violence, please reach out to emergency services (e.g. 988, 112, or local emergency services) immediately.
Because we deliberately do not collect names, phone numbers, or email addresses, our team cannot verify your identity or recover a lost secret code. You are solely responsible for recording and maintaining your secret code.
